Patricia-Costello-obit-8-19-15-webLYNNFIELD — Patricia J. Costello, 62, of Lynnfield, formerly of Middleboro, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, Aug. 16 after an almost five year courageous battle against breast cancer. She was surrounded by her beloved husband, daughter and elder sister.

Born in Cambridge on June 17, 1953, Patricia was the daughter of the late John and Mary (Robinson) Mosley.

Patty was a graduate of Coyle and Cassidy High School in Taunton. She had worked as a longtime interior designer at Marty’s Furniture in Melrose and later for her own small design company. Patty had a love and gift for gardening and cooking, was an excellent event coordinator – from fundraisers to gatherings – and was an avid skier in her earlier years.

She was the beloved wife of Vincent X. Costello. She was the loving mother of Mary Kate Costello of Washington, D.C. She was the devoted sister of John Mosley of Brockton; Thomas Mosley of North Attleboro; Robert Mosley of Middleboro; Catherine Braga of Middleboro; Ellen Leonard of Onset; Mary Lou Harper of Marblehead; Sheila Poudrier of Lakeville; Maureen Hossfeld of West Bridgewater and Barbara Evans of North Bennington, Vt. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Patty’s funeral Mass will be held on Friday, Aug. 21, at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, corner of Grove and Salem streets, Lynnfield at 11:30 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield, on Thursday, Aug. 20, from 4-8 p.m.
