District nurse and school nurse for many years

MEDFORD — Patricia A. (Ballantine) Gallant, of Medford, passed away Oct. 13. She was the beloved wife of Robert F. Gallant and the mother of Patty Lyman and her husband Christopher of Wilmington, Robert Gallant of North Reading and the late Anne Manning and Richard Gallant. She was the mother–in–law of Shawn Manning of Hudson, N.H. and Virginia Gallant of Chelmsford and the grandmother of Catherine, Alessandra, Jacqueline, Kristina, Heather, Philip, Matthew and Rebecca and the great–grandmother of Evia and Miya.
Patricia was the sister of Fran Ballantine and his wife Sue of Brewster, Jack Ballantine of Washington, D.C., Sr. Eleanor Ballantine, SC of Quincy, Betty Joseph of Norwell and Nancy O’Sullivan of Quincy. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Patricia was a District Nurse and a School Nurse for the Medford Public School System for many years. She was a homemaker who enjoyed the company of her family and friends.
Funeral services were held from the Breslin Funeral Home, 610 Pleasant St., Malden on Monday, Oct. 19 followed by a funeral Mass celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 600 Pleasant St., Malden. Services concluded with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery in Malden. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to Community Family, 121 Washington St., Medford MA 02155.
