WAKEFIELD — Police, fire and Action Ambulance responded to a report of rollover accident on Woodcrest Drive on Saturday at about 5:45 p.m. Police said that 2014 Ford Escape struck a parked 2015 Kia Sorrento and rolled over. The driver was not injured and no charges were filed.

Just after noon on Friday, police went to a Prospect Street address after a realtor reported possibly locating an old hand grenade in the house. Police determined that the item was harmless and disposed of it.

At 12:30 p.m. on Friday, police received a report that a mailbox had been stolen from in  front of a home on Montrose Avenue.

A deer had to be euthanized by police after being struck near 103 Montrose Ave. by a 2017 Ford Escape driven by a Salem man at about 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Just before 8 p.m. on Friday, a caller reported a suspicious white male, approximately 18 years old of average height and build, attempting to push open a first floor window open at an apartment building on Audubon Road. Police were unable to locate anyone fitting the description and there was no sign of forced entry to any of the windows.

Police went to a Main Street address at about 11:30 p.m. on Friday after receiving a report of a large house party with many parked cars and speeding on the street. Officers spoke to the renters of the home.

Just after midnight on Saturday, a caller reported a large group jumping on parked cars in front of his house on Central Street. Police shut down a house party and sent the group on its way.

Police were called at about 3:40 a.m. Sunday morning regarding a car stuck on the tracks at the Forest Street railroad crossing. The MBTA was notified and stated that there were not any late night trains in operation. The vehicle was towed.

Police, Fire and Action Ambulance responded to a crash on Bay State Road at about 6:45 a.m. Sunday. A 23-year-old Palmer man told police that his 2013 Nissan Altima had hit a patch of black ice and slid off the road into a ditch. Police called a tow truck to pull the car back onto the roadway and the owner, who was not injured, was able to drive the car from the scene.

At about 11 a.m. on Sunday, a caller reporting finding what he believed to be ammunition on Smith Street. The item turned out to be a single bullet, which police disposed of.

At about 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, a caller reported a vehicle had been struck on Michael Road some time overnight. A Lexington woman told police that she had parked her 2015 Toyota RAV4 on the street Saturday night and when she came out Sunday morning there was damage to the driver’s side. There are no suspects at this time.
