LYNNFIELD — Pioneer track and field coaches Liane Cook and Bill Wallace will host a track and field meet for students in grades 3-8 on Friday, May 13, weather permitting.
The meet will give boys and girls the opportunity to learn about four track and field events – 100 meter sprint, 800 meters, long jump and javelin – and then have the opportunity to compete in the event.
If time permits, participants will learn about a fifth event, the relay.
The meet will run from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the LMS track. The schedule of events is as follows:
• 3:30–3:45 p.m.: Check-in
• 3:45–4 p.m.: Warm up led by LHS athletes
• 4–5:30 p.m.: Track and field events
Pre-register by Friday
Simply pre-register via e-mail to either coach by Friday, May 6 for planning purposes. The event is free.
