Ralph-Costanza-Obit-webNORTH READING — Ralph P. Costanza Sr., of North Reading, died Aug. 22.     He was the beloved husband of Marcia Ellen (Van Deusen) Costanza and the  father of Ralph P. Jr and his wife Susan of Norfolk, Karen O’Leary and her husband Daniel of Ipswich and Regina”Gina” Sanfilippo and her husband Salvatore “Sal” of CA.

Ralph was the grandfather of Mark and his wife Megan, William, David and his wife Valerie, Matthew, Christopher, Michael and Leah and the great–grandfather of Mary Grace. He was the brother of the late Probie Colanino and Sylvia Costanza and the brother–in–aw of Julia Van Deusen of FL and Myra Berube of TN. Ralph is also survived by an extended loving family and his close friends at the VA.

His funeral will be held from the Cota Funeral Home, 335 Park St. (corner of Park St. and Rte. 28) North Reading at Reading line on Saturday Aug. 29 at 9:30 a.m., followed by a  funeral Mass in St. Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter St.(Rte 62) , North Reading at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends may visit at the Funeral Home on Friday from 4-8pm. Interment Riverside Cemetery, North Reading. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ralph’s name to the Boston Wounded Warrior Project, 150 Cambridge Park Drive, Suite 202, Cambridge, Massachusetts 02140.

Ralph was a member of the North Reading Lion’s Club, North Reading Rotary, Thomson Country Club, North Reading Knights of Columbus and the Military Order of the Purple Heart. Ralph was co–owner in Costanza and Bertolino Real Estate Company in North Reading which developed many areas of the town. Ralph also served his country proudly in WWII. www.cotafuneralhomes.com
