Pryor-obit-webSAUGUS — Richard E. Pryor, 27, passed away suddenly at his home in Saugus on Sunday, July 5.

Richard was born in Dorchester at St. Margaret Hospital, on Nov. 17, 1987. He was raised in Saugus, graduated from Saugus High School, Class of 2005 and has been a lifelong resident. Mr. Pryor continued his education by receiving his bachelor’s in computer science at ITT Technical School. He was a talented network engineer and had been working for his father’s company, Prosper-IT in Boston, for the past eight years.

Richard loved to play video games, especially Dota 2 & Medal Gear Solid, enjoyed watching Trail Park Boys and Lost and liked listening to Texas rap music and the band Chunk No Captain Chunk. He enjoyed going to work every day and was very proud of the first home he had bought last year. Mr. Pryor had a great sense of humor, he loved making people laugh, loved his dog Toby but, most of all, Richard loved taking trips with his family.

Mr. Pryor was the beloved son of Richard C. and Barbara (Dymecka) Pryor of Saugus. He was the devoted brother of Matthew J. Pryor of Saugus. He was the cherished grandson of Judith Pryor and Aniela Dymecka. He was the loving great-grandson of Ann Mangino. He was the caring cousin of Kelsey Pryor, Kasia Dymecka and Mirek Dymecki. He is also survived by numerous, aunts, uncles and friends.

Visitation will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 West Foster St., Melrose, on Friday, July 10 from 4-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, July 11, at St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 660 Washington St., Revere at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend.
