OBIT-Trickett,-Robert-webLYNNFIELD — Robert G. Trickett, 81, of Lynnfield, formerly of Malden, died Sunday, August 9 at the Dexter House Nursing Home in Malden.

Born in Everett on June 18, 1934, he was the son of the late Maxwell H. and Bertha M. (Peary) Trickett.

Mr. Trickett was raised in Everett and was a graduate of Everett High School. He later moved to Malden where he had been a resident for more than 50 years and operated a canteen truck. Mr. Trickett was a retired machinist for General Electric in Lynn and had served in the National Guard for nine years.

He was the beloved husband of Geraldine J. (Puntoni) Trickett. He was the loving father of Robert J. Trickett and his wife Maureen of Everett; William M. Trickett and his wife Paula of Amesbury; LindaRea Jones and her husband Thomas of Peabody; and Laurie Trickett of Quincy. He was the brother of Marion Sergel of Southbridge and the late Alice, Henry and William Trickett. He is also survived by his four grandchildren: Randy and his wife Kristina, Janelle, Brittany and Meghan, as well as two great-grandchildren: Carter and Wyatt.

His funeral was held at the McDonald-Finnegan Funeral Home, 322 Main St., Stoneham on Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 11 a.m. Interment followed at Forest Dale Cemetery in Malden. Visitation for relatives and friends was held at the funeral home on Tuesday.
