WAKEFIELD — Roberta D. Theriault, 78, of Wakefield and formerly of Stoneham, died on Thursday, March 10, at her residence.

Born in Melrose on Aug. 19, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Florence (Wilkes) MacCaughey.

Mrs. Theriault was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School. She had worked for many years as a nurse’s aide.

Mrs. Theriault is survived by her husband David A. Theriault; her five children, D. Allen Theriault and his wife Michelle of Wakefield, Kimberly Cato of Wakefield, Denise Pelletz of Lenox, Mark W. Theriault of Wakefield and Michele L. Wood and her husband Jack of Middleton, and her brother Harold MacCaughey of Winchester. She is also survived by her six grandchildren: Amy West, Shawn Theriault, Cameron, Sydney and Caroline Hathaway and Samantha Pelletz; and her great grandson Henry A. West. She was predeceased by her daughter Cynthia Theriault and her sister Wendy Eramo.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be private.
