WAKEFIELD — Rachel P. Carr, 25, a lifelong Wakefield resident died accidentally on Tuesday, March 8, at her residence.

Rachel was a graduate of Wakefield Memorial High School, Class of 2009. She then went onto graduate from Lincoln Tech.

Rachel is survived by her son Lucas G. Carr, her fiancé Stephen Smart of Wakefield, her beloved mother Susan A.C. (MacMillian) Carr of Wakefield, and the late William “Chickie” R. Carr Jr. and her stepmother Annette Stanley of Wakefield.

In addition she is also survived by her two sisters and their families: Melissa M. Carr, Douglas McCormack and their son Jack McCormack and Jayne N. Stanley, fiancé Matthew Quigley and their daughter Adrianna Quigley, all of Wakefield.

Rachel was a huge fan of “Dr. Who” — her fiancé and son even got her a “Doctor Who” robe and a Tardis ornament for Christmas. She loved watching comic book and sci-fi like shows. In a way she was a cute little nerd. Stephen was even going to take her to Comic-Con in the summer.

Rachel was the kind of person who would walk into a room and just light it up with her beautiful smile. If you were mad at her it wouldn’t be for long because she would just look at you with that smile and everything else would melt away. She had such an infectious laugh. Stephen and Lucas would often have tickle parties and blow raspberries on her belly just to hear that bubbly laugh.

Rachel is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was surrounded by a huge and beautiful family. We’ve come together through sometimes unusual circumstances but our family is unique and we love with all of our hearts and that’s exactly what her family did, they loved her with all of their hearts and she will be gratefully missed.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday from 3-7 p.m. Funeral services will be private.
