Talented, dedicated construction worker

LYNNFIELD — Ronald Perly McKean, 49, of Lynnfield and formerly a longtime resident of Melrose, passed away on Monday, Aug. 17, as a result of a job related accident.
Ron was born in Melrose and a graduate of Melrose High School, Class of 1983. He was a talented and dedicated construction worker.
Ron enjoyed spending his time in Maine with family and watching New England sports with friends.
Ron was the beloved husband of Jennifer (Marsh) McKean and cherished father of Ryan McKean and Ashley McKean all of Lynnfield. He was the devoted son of Joseph P. McKean of Melrose and the late Patricia J. McKean. He was the loving brother of Arthur McKean and his wife, Doreen of Wakefield, Susan Brennan and her husband, Rich of Melrose and Bruce McKean and his wife, Maureen of North Andover. Also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at Melrose Highlands Congregational Church, 355 Franklin St., Melrose on Sunday, Aug. 23, at 2:30 p.m., followed by a gathering at the Sgt. Harold O. Young VFW Post, 14 Chipman Ave., Melrose.
