READING — Rosemary A. Trask, 92, of Reading died Friday, Oct. 21, in Medford.

Mrs. Trask was born in Cambridge on July 13, 1924 and was the daughter of the late Charles F. and Rose A. (McCormick) O’Connor. She was raised in Cambridge and later lived many years in Woburn and then in Stoneham.

During her working career she was employed as an executive assistant for the Raytheon Corporation and also Northeastern University, Burlington Campus.

She was an active member of the Stoneham Senior Citizens. She also served as the “Silver Haired Legislator” in Stoneham, was a member of the Republican Town Committee and was many times a delegate to the Republican State Convention, and in the year 2000 was named Republican Woman of the Year.

Mrs. Trask was the beloved wife of the late Walter S. Trask. She was the mother of Robert W. Trask and his wife Judith of Wakefield, Gail Rosemary Trask Allinsworth of Cincinnati, Ohio and Patricia Marjorie Trask McCarthy of Salem. She was the sister of Marjorie Gallop of North Carolina and the late Charles O’Connor Jr. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield on Thursday, Nov. 3, at 11. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
