LYNNFIELD — The Lynnfield Rotary Club had a very successful golf tournament last year and the club is on track to have another outstanding year.

This year’s best ball tournament is scheduled for a 12:30 p.m. tee off, with registration taking place at 12 p.m. at Reedy Meadow Golf Course on Friday, June 24. Lunch will be provided as well as a dinner catered by Country Side Deli followed by an auction by local attorney Jay Kimball.

There will be prizes for first place, closest to the pin and longest drive. This is a special year, as Herb Chambers Flagship Motors Lynnfield is also sponsoring a hole in one contest with the prize of a free two-year lease on a 2016 Mercedes E350.

MarketStreet Lynnfield and Herb Chambers Flagship Motors Lynnfield are this year’s corporate sponsors of the tournament. In addition, the Rotary Club would like to thank this year’s special major sponsors: The Savings Bank, the Kimball Family, First Financial Trust, JM Electrical, Everett Co-Operative Bank, Eastern Bank of Lynnfield and Eastpointe Rehab and Skilled Care Center.

The Lynnfield Rotary Club focuses its support on local needs in the town of Lynnfield. The club also supports charitable needs in surrounding communities and internationally. The club’s focus over the next year will be supporting the Lynnfield War Memorial development and assisting the Lynnfield Conservation Commission with repairing and rebuilding damage to the Partridge Island Trail.

Those interested in participating or sponsoring the event may contact Rotary Golf Chairman Jason Kimball at his law office at 781-334-3200.
