Traveled the world, loved time with family

Sally-Bailey-Obit_webLARGO, Fla. – Sally F Bailey, 79, of North Reading, and Largo, FL, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2017 with her family by her side.

Born November 28, 1937 in Cambridge, MA, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Lillian Uhrig.

She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Alton L Bailey Jr; three children, Susan(Bruce) Hodsdon of SC, Alton(Doreen) Bailey of NH, and Kimberly (Bill) Warnock of MA; seven grandchildren, Heather, Brandon, Ryan, Reid, Amanda, Ryley, and Felicia, and a great-grandchild, Wesley. Sally was the cousin of Deb(Ken) Kanady, and the younger sister of Ann Stone, and her predeceased brother Ed Uhrig.

Sally graduated from Stoneham High School in 1955. She and Al married on December 3, 1955 and lived in SC for several years before settling down in North Reading in 1959. Once they raised their children, they travelled all over the world with friends Joe and Terry Ramaci. In 2004, Sally and Al became snowbirds in Largo, Fl for the winters. Her favorite times were spent with her family and friends. She loved to read, play bingo, play cards, and to help organize her class reunions with her longtime friend Barbara Moran.

Services will be held at a later date.
