Vietnam veteran, employee of Gillette Company

Stephen-Robbins-Obit-webNORTH READING — Stephen John Robbins, 64, of North Reading, passed away at his home on Nov. 17, 2015, following a brief illness. He was the cherished husband of Denise (Ames) Robbins. Born in Somerville and raised in Stoneham, he was the son of the late George and Elizabeth (Hunt) Robbins.

Stephen was a graduate of Stoneham High School, class of 1969. After serving in the Army during the Vietnam War, he worked for the Gillette Company as a production mechanic and was a loyal employee at their South Boston facility for over 30 years.

Stephen had resided in North Reading for 38 years. He enjoyed both being at home with his family and being outdoors. At home, he could fix anything that wouldn’t work around the house; he was an avid gardener and a loyal TV fan of the Red Sox and Patriots. He liked to go camping and had fond memories of fishing at Papoose Pond in Maine and Martins Pond near his home.

In addition to his wife Denise, he is survived by his two sons Scott Robbins and his wife Irvinia of Agawam and Jonathan Robbins of North Reading. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins.
