CAMBRIDGE — Two representatives from the Lynnfield High girls’ swim team competed at the Div. 2 State Swimming Championships at MIT on Saturday.

Senior captain Ally Sykes had a terrific conclusion to her high school swimming career in the 100 breaststroke, taking 21st place with a personal best time of 1:15.67.

“States was amazing and I’m really happy I got to experience it after such a successful season for the girls and boys alike,” said Sykes.

Freshman Sophia Tramontozzi swam the 200 freestyle with a personal best time of 2:06.65 and the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:15.96.

“It was very exciting swimming at States as a freshman and I am very grateful that I was able to train and compete with Ally,” said Tramontozzi. “I am very much looking forward to the next three years with this team.”

The LHS girls’ swim team finished the regular season with a record of 5-1 and finished 2nd at the CAL Meet.
