Congratulations to the Class of 2024 

On Friday, May 31, Melrose High School will conduct Commencement Ceremonies for the senior class of 2024! Congratulations to our graduates — Melrose is proud of you and excited to cheer for your future accomplishments. 

Pride flag raising at Melrose City Hall 

Join the Melrose community for the raising of the Pride flag at Melrose City Hall on Monday, June 3 at 5 p.m. All are welcome to attend this celebration of Melrose’s LGBTQIA+ community at the start of Pride Month. How to cast your ballot in the June 18th Special Election for an operational override

Melrose residents can cast their ballots in the special election for a $7.7M operational override to fund city and school services in the following four ways: 

1. Vote early in-person at City Hall, 562 Main Street, on Saturday, June 8, between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. 

2. Vote in-person on Tuesday, June 18 (Election Day), between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m., at the Melrose Veterans Memorial Middle School Gymnasium (90 Melrose Street).
3. Vote by mail. Mail-in ballot applications are available in the Elections Office and online.
4. Request and submit an absentee ballot. Applications are available in the Elections Office and online.

New trash and recycling carts will be delivered starting June 3 

New trash and recycling carts will be delivered to most Melrose homes between June 3 and June 14. Residents do NOT need to be home to receive the delivery, but everyone MUST use the new carts beginning July 1.

FY 25 city budget hearings continue
