WAKEFIELD — Thelma M. Caso, 94, of Wakefield died Wednesday, Aug. 26, at the Wilmington Health Care Center.

Born in Everett on May 19, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Rocco J. and Mary (Rossi) Rossi.

Mrs. Caso was raised in Everett and was a graduate of Everett High School. She had been a longtime Wakefield resident and was a member of St. Joseph Parish. She had worked as an underwriter for the former American Mutual Insurance Company of Wakefield.

Mrs. Caso had served in the United States Marine Corps as a radio operator during World War II.

She was the beloved wife of the late Louis A. Caso. She was the loving mother of Denise M. Payne and her husband Blair of Bradford, Barry L. Caso and his wife Sharon of Florida and Brian W. Caso and his wife Linda Letourneau of Florida. She was the sister of William A. Rossi of Middleton, Janice A. White of Lynn and the late Robert J. Rossi and Eleanor D. Murphy. She is also survived by her four grandchildren: Christopher and Jaclyn Payne and Constance and Anthony Caso, as well as four great-grandchildren.

Her funeral service will be held in the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Saturday at noon. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 a.m. to noon. Interment will be at Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
