Men’s, Women’s, Mixed Doubles teams to compete

WAKEFIELD — The Wakefield Tennis Association is holding a doubles tournament on Saturday, Sept. 12 in honor of Dick Laramie, a long time member and supporter of Wakefield Tennis.

The matches will start at 9 a.m. There is no pre-entry so players should plan on arriving at the High School courts by 8:30 a.m. to sign in and get their match and time assignments. If you come as a single player, pairings will be made. Players new to Wakefield Tennis are most welcome. Play will be Pro-set format with a consolation round for first round losers.

The rain date is Sunday, the following day.

All interested high school age or older men and women who want to honor Dick, have some fun and contribute a $20 dollar entry fee to the Friends of Wakefield Tennis in his name should enter. At the conclusion of play, approximately 2 p.m., a cookout will be held.
