CONCORD, N.H. — Thomas G. Johnston Jr., 53, of Concord, N.H., and formerly of Wakefield, died Thursday, Nov. 27 in Hudson, N.H.

Born in Medford on July 24, 1961 he was the son of Thomas G. and Barbara J. (Young) Johnston.

Thomas was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1980, and also of Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational School. For the past 14 years, Thomas had been living in Concord, N.H., where he was involved with volunteer work for the homeless of the Concord area.

He had worked for Morton Industries of Danvers and later in California. He was an avid New England sports fan and loved animals.

Thomas is survived by his two sons, Christopher T. Johnston of Derry, N.H. and Nathan P. Johnston of Hudson, N.H. He is also survived by his brother Mark Johnston of Hudson, N.H. and his sister Anne Marie Johnston-Connell of Dracut. He also leaves behind Cash and Kaiden Johnston, his 5-month-old twin grandchildren.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Thursday from 4 to 6:30 p.m. A prayer service will be conducted beginning at 6:30 p.m.
