WAKEFIELD — If the first morning of nomination paper availability is any indication, this will be another active town election season.

Today, Dan Benjamin and incumbent Phyllis J. Hull both took out nomination papers for selectman, and Betsy Sheeran will be running again for town clerk.

Hull and Benjamin were among the six hopefuls who ran for a vacant one year term on the Board of Selectmen in a special election held in July. Hull was victorious, which Benjamin finishing second.

The town election is scheduled for Tuesday, April 25.

The last day to obtain nomination papers is Friday, March 3 , 2017 at 5:00 p.m.

The last day to submit nomination papers to Registrars of Voters for certification is Tuesday, March 7, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.

The last day to file nomination papers with the Town Clerk is Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.

The last day to object to or to withdraw nomination papers is Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.
