• Governor Baker extends the closure of schools until May 4, 2020. Lynnfield Public Schools will be closed until that date.

• Tonight’s Conservation Commission Meeting has been cancelled. All hearings and other matters continued to April 21, 2020.
• Effective today, the Lynnfield Center Water District office will be closed for in-person transactions. You can still contact the office by calling 781-334-3901 or by emailing us at LCWD@LCWD.US. A staff member will continue to answer calls during regular business hour from 7 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday-Friday.
There are ongoing discussions amongst the Board of Commissioners regarding the potential delay of the Annual District Meeting and Special District Meeting scheduled for Monday, April 6. The same holds true with the regularly scheduled Board meeting on Tuesday, March 24. Updated schedules will be released when finalized.

• The Board of Selectmen has postponed the annual public hearing on the budget originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 18. The Town will announce when the hearing will be rescheduled.
The Board of Selectmen will be meeting on Wednesday, March 18 at 7:00 p.m. at the Merritt Center to declare a state of emergency. The Board of Selectmen will be meeting on Monday, March 23 at 7:00 p.m. to close the annual town meeting warrant and renew seasonal liquor licenses.

• Town Hall, Senior Center and Library closed to public; Schools closed through April 7.
Town Hall will be closed to the public starting on Monday, March 16. Town department heads will meet Monday and more information of continuation of services will be posted at that time. Department heads will be working and answering phone and email inquiries. Call Town departments for questions specific to that department.
The Senior Center and Library will be closed to the public until further notice. The Lynnfield Public Schools are closed through April 7.
Police, Fire and Emergency Medical Services will be fully functional.

• Wakefield Co-operative Bank postpones its Local Professionals Appreciation & Networking event scheduled for March 26 that was being presented in partnership with Wakefield Lynnfield Chamber of Commerce and Melrose Chamber of Commerce. A new date has not been determined.

• The Lynnfield Public Library is closed as of 9:00 p.m. today until further notice. All library programs scheduled during the period of closure are canceled.
