WAKEFIELD students and parents gathered at Wakefield Co-operative Bank’s main office at 342 Main St. Wednesday, August 5 for a Wakefield Reads “Book Buzz.” Wakefield Reads is a public schools initiative aimed to promote reading among students and parents during summer months. The program is also supported by the Wakefield Lynnfield Chamber of Commerce and Beebe Library. The 2015 summer book selection was “I Am Malala” by Malala Yousafzai and all ages were invited to partake in the program by reading an age- appropriate edition of the book.
