NORTH READING — Residents are reminded that because of the annual North Reading Turkey Trot 5K road race on Thanksgiving morning, with up to 1,500 runners rumbling through town, there will be travel restrictions in the town center.

Drivers should be prepared to stop between 8 and 9 a.m. particularly on Park Street (the Route 62 portion of the race)  from Nan’s Centre Cafe to Central Street. Even after 9 a.m., you should look out for race stragglers/walkers.

So if you’re on you’re way to grandma’s house for Thanksgiving breakfast, it would be a great idea to seek an alternate route.
