JENNA DiNAPOLI

PEABODY — Two girls’ hockey players from North Reading High were recently named league All-Stars for the 2021-22 season.

Jenna DiNapoli, a junior center on the Peabody-Lynnfield-North Reading co-op girls’ varsity ice hockey team, was named to the All-Conference team for the Northeastern League.

DiNapoli is a three-zone player who leads the offense, as well as being one of the strongest defensive players. This season, she had 16 goals and 12 assists. DiNapoli had eight multi-point games and was awarded MVP.

 

AUDREY BUCKLEY

 

Audrey Buckley, a senior goalie and captain on the PLNR team, was named an NHL All-Star this season. Buckley’s record was 7-3-1. She was in net for a total of 515 minutes and ended the season with one shutout, 219 saves, and a GAA of 1.35 to conclude a fantastic career in net for the Tanners.

Buckley and DiNapoli led the Tanners to second place in the Division 1 Northeastern League with a 14-1-1 league record and a 16-5-1 overall record. The Tanners earned a victory in the D1 state tournament over Whitman-Hanson before falling to state finalist Arlington by a 2-1 score.
