MELROSE — The 35th Victorian Fair is Sunday in the Main Street business district. It promises to be a blast.
A day filled with food, fun and entertainment begins at 11:30 a.m. and runs until 4:30 p.m. There will be Big Ticket Raffle tickets available so you can enter for a chance to win 16 luxury prizes donated by Chamber members. Tickets are $10 and are available at Edward Jones, 502 Main St.; East Boston Savings Bank, 108 Main St.; Miter Biter Frame Company, 479 Main St., and Eastern Bank, 441 Main St.
There will be over 200 booths at this year’s fair. This year’s edition will include shopping at the Artisan marketplace, great entertainment at Center Stage, dining on cuisine from all over the world and taking a spin or two on amusment rides. New events include a video highlighting 35 years of the fair produced by MMTV and a special picnic area with a “selfie” station.
This 2015 Victorian Fair is dedicated to the memory of the late John T. Cinella.
A road race and walk benefitting EMARC will begin at 10 a.m. before the fair at the YMCA.
The Friends of the Melrose Public Library will have a book sale on the library lawn from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The forecast for Sunday — as of Wednesday afternoon — called for temperatures in the 70s and the possibility of a few scattered thunderstorms.
But nothing can dampen the spirit of Melrose’s Victorian Fair.
