MELROSE — Virginia H. (Grover) Morgan, 85, of Melrose, died at her home on Sept. 10.

Virginia was born and raised in Everett and attended Everett schools. She was a homemaker and resided in Everett until 1949, Melrose for 14 years, West Peabody for 16 years, returned to Everett for 29 years and Melrose for the past six years.

Virginia loved crossword puzzles, baking, Sunday dinners, Thanksgiving and making pies for all of her neighbors.

She enjoyed the ocean and taking trips to Aruba, St. Thomas and Hawaii.

Virginia was the beloved wife of 56 years to the late William E. Morgan. She was the loving mother of Kristine Morley and her husband Gil of FL, Patricia Bresnahan and her husband Ronald of Weymouth and the late Karen Morgan. She was the cherished grandmother of Kathy Antreasian and Marisa Bresnahan. She was the great grandmother of Sarah. She was the devoted sister of the late Eleanor, Pearl, Connie, Norma and Shirley. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose, on Sunday, Sept. 28, at noon. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend.

Visitation prior to the celebration from 10 a.m. to noon. Burial will be private.
