Great–grandmother of four, formerly worked for Sylvania

NORTH READING — Virginia Claire (D’Agostino) Vistorino, 92, of North Reading, formerly of Brooksby Village, Peabody, Saugus and Lynn, died on Friday, Sept. 4, 2015, at the Meadowview Center, surrounded by her family, after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Louis G. Vistorino.
Born and raised in Lynn, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore and Grace (Bartolota) D’Agostino. Prior to moving to North Reading, she had lived in Saugus for 20 years and Brooksby Village, Peabody for 11 years.
Until her retirement, she had worked as an assembler for the Sylvania Company for many years.
Virginia enjoyed crocheting and cooking. She was also an avid reader and Bingo player. She loved the time she spent with her family, especially her four great–granddaughters.
She is survived by a daughter Linda Downing and her husband Ed of Middleton; two grandchildren: Michael Downing and his wife Nicole of Tewksbury and Kathleen Angelari and her husband Joseph of Methuen; four great–grandchildren; Emily Angelari, Sarah Downing, Hannah Angelari and Abigail Downing, as well as six nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Patsy, Charles and Lucy D’Agostino.
Her funeral was held on Wednesday in the Solimine Funeral Home, 426 Broadway, (Route 129), Lynn, followed by burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited.
