WAKEFIELD — Wakefield 101, a new resident Open House, returns to the Beebe Library in Downtown Wakefield Thursday, May 18, from 6 to 8 p.m.

“This event helps new residents get acclimated into town and introduces them to people and resources they will use for years to come,” said Town Administrator Steve Maio.

Wakefield 101 will give new residents the opportunity to meet town representatives, community groups and local businesses as they get acquainted with their new “hometown.”

“It is great to be able to introduce new residents not only to their new community but also their great library building” said Sharon Gilley, Director of the Beebe Library.

Wakefield 101 is a collaboration between the Town of Wakefield, the Beebe Library and the Wakefield Chamber of Commerce. Wakefield 101 is held two times per year (May\November).

Registered new residents will receive a special edition Wakefield 101 coffee mug and a tote bag with hundreds of dollars in gift opportunities at local businesses.
