WAKEFIELD — Friends of Lake Quanapowitt will hold its Annual Meeting on May 24 at 7 p.m. at Bear Hill Golf Club, 2 North St., Stoneham.

The featured topic for the event will be a summary of information collected by the town’s “Lake Study Committee,” which spent almost three years gathering the best scientific information regarding the water quality of Lake Quannapowitt. The goal is to present the committee’s findings in layman’s terms, and then open the conversation for questions and answers. The general public as well as FOLQ members, are invited to attend.

Prior to the formal meeting and program, there will be a a cash bar social hour at 6 p.m. A buffet supper will begin at 6:30 (offered for $15 with an RSVP, deadline Friday, May 18).
