An avid sports fan, loved traveling and playing golf
PEABODY — Paul R. Colwell Jr., 64 of Peabody, formerly of Wakefield, died on Monday, January 17 at his home.
He was born in Melrose and was the son of Paul R. Colwell, Sr. and the late Nancy (Farrell) Colwell, currently of Burlington.
Paul grew up in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1975. He was an independent distributor for Pepperidge Farm for over 40 years. Paul was an avid sports fan (Pats, Sox and Bruins), enjoyed playing softball and golf and loved to travel, particularly going on cruises and visiting Florida with his late wife Madeline.
He was the beloved husband of the late Madeline (Hinerman) Colwell. He was the loving father of Erica Colwell, and stepfather of Matthew Bryant Jr., Kevin Bryant and Kerry Nota. Paul was also the brother of Deanne Colwell of Wakefield, Susan Colwell of Burlington and Linda Colwell of Topsham, Maine.
His funeral Mass will be held in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield on Friday, January 21 at 10 a.m. All are invited to attend. Interment, Puritan Lawn Cemetery, Peabody.
