READING — Evelyn G. (Thompson) Del Ninno of Reading, formerly of Stoneham passed away on Tuesday, October 8. She was 91 years of age.

Born on Monday, September 11, 1933 in Cambridge, NY, Evelyn is the loving daughter of the late Gordon C. Thompson and Concetta (D’Amato) Thompson. Evelyn was a warm, kind, gentle and loyal daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, aunt and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Evelyn lived in Stoneham for 59 years. She was a dedicated employee at Addison Wesley for 25 years, working in the International Order Dept. A lover of animals, Evelyn was extremely devoted to her dog Bailey and she loved going out to eat with family and friends.

Evelyn is the beloved wife of the late Edward V. Del Ninno, Sr. She is the devoted mother of Jean Bruno and her husband Patrick; Edward V. Del Ninno, Jr. and his wife Lois; Susan McLeod and her husband Robert; and Karen Brown and her husband Thomas. The cherished nana of Anthony Bruno and his wife Tina; Andrea Sullivan and her husband Ryan; Christopher MacDonald and his wife Meredith; Rachel Brown; Susan Wilson and her husband Mark; and Tom Croft. Evelyn is the doting great grandmother “Nana D” of Raiya, Chace, Brielle, Emersyn, Giuliana, Olivia, Felicity, Blake, Colby, Tyler, John and Michael. She is the dear sister of Eleanor Perriello and her late husband Edward; Barbara Parziale; Ronald Thompson; David Thompson and his wife Marie; and the late Philip Thompson. Evelyn is also lovingly survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Family and friends are cordially invited to gather and share memories with Evelyn’s family on Friday, October 18 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St., Stoneham. A funeral service celebrating Evelyn’s eternal life will be held on Friday, October 18 at 12 p.m. in the Barile Family Funeral Home, 482 Main St., Stoneham.
