BEVERLY — Kathleen M. Iosua, age 59 of Beverly, formerly of Wakefield, died on Tuesday, October 8 at her home.

She was born in Winchester on May 17, 1965 and was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Riccelli) Iosua. Kathy grew up in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, class of 1983. She received her associate’s degree in nursing from the Youville Hospital in Cambridge. She was a longtime LPN at local nursing homes. Kathy loved outdoor activities, traveling, all holidays, and most of all spending time with family and friends.

She was the loving sister of Joanne Sylvester and her late husband Eugene of Peabody; Dorothy Iosua-Gonzales and her husband Vincent of Lynn; Marilyn Iosua of Reading; Joseph Iosua of Wakefield and his partner Lynn Greene; Janet Iosua of Sudbury; and Mary-Elizabeth Iosua and her husband Mark Lanza of Sudbury. She was the beloved aunt of Rick Iosua and his wife Jennifer; the late Jon-David Sylvester; Julie Sylvester; Kristina Gonzales; Anthony-Vincent Gonzales and his partner Megan; Paul Gonzales and his wife Amanda; David Gonzales and his partner Cassie; Lisa Gonzales and her partner Danny; Marie Lanza and her fiancé Ethan; the late Leia Lanza; and Nicholas Lanza. She is also survived by many great nieces and great nephews.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday, October 11 from 4 to 8 p.m. Her funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Joseph Church, 173 Albion St., Wakefield on Saturday, October 12 at 10 a.m. For the online guestbook and directions, please visit mcdonaldfs.com.
