Enjoyed traveling, planting flowers, reading and listening to Frank Sinatra
WAKEFIELD — Madeleine Oliver, daughter of Laura and Fred Oliver died on December 26 at the age of 103.
She lived most of her adult life in her Wakefield home with her sister Hilda who passed away several years ago. Both were never married and were members of the First Parish Congregational Church of Wakefield. She spent her adult career with Putnam Investments in Boston.
Together, she and Hilda enjoyed traveling to various destinations. Madeleine lived a quiet life, enjoying planting and cultivating flowers in her yard and was an avid reader, always with a book in hand. She was a passionate Red Sox fan and enjoyed listening to Frank Sinatra. Madeleine was a philanthropist; she donated to support various organizations in her community and beyond.
