Enjoyed her Cape Cod house and baking

WAKEFIELD — Carolyn “Carrie” A. Barrasso, 94, of Wakefield, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2022.

She was born in Wakefield on April 15, 1927 and was the daughter of the late Angelo and Adelena (Lepore) Cardillo.

Carolyn was born and raised in Wakefield. She attended Wakefield public schools and was a graduate of Wakefield High. Carolyn had a career in the banking industry as a proof operator with several banks in the Wakefield and Woburn area. Carolyn enjoyed spending weekends at her Cape Cod house in Harwich with her husband and family. She also enjoyed baking, walking, shopping, gardening, and going to Dunkin Donuts. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandson.

Carolyn was the beloved wife of the late Ralph Barrasso Jr. She was the loving mother of Nancy Schmidt and her husband, Donald, of Warner, NH; Linda Mackenzie and her husband, Stephen, of East Walpole and the late Robert Barrasso. She was the sister of Richard Cardillo of Wakefield and the late Evelyn Tecce of Wakefield. She was also the beloved grandmother of Matthew Mackenzie and his wife, Jenna, of Walpole. Carrie was loved by her nephew Joseph Scuito and his wife, Maryanne, of Billerica; her niece Cheryl Whitney of Wakefield and several other nieces and nephews.
