WAKEFIELD — Dora C. Adams, age 87, of Wakefield, died Wednesday, October 13. Born in Wakefield on October 9, 1934 she was the daughter of the late Frank and Clara (DiFilpo) Palmerino.

Dora was raised in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1952 and was a 1954 graduate of Wilford Academy of Boston. She was a lifelong Wakefield resident and a member of St. Florence Church and the Sons of Italy. Dora had worked for the former Jordan Marsh in Malden and Analog Devices in Wilmington. She loved to knit, cook and bake. She and her late husband Gerry also enjoyed Fort Lauderdale where they had season tickets to Red Sox spring training. Dora was a fan of all the Boston sports teams.

She was the beloved wife of the late Gerald J. “Gerry” Adams, whom she married in 1955. She was the loving mother of Sharon J. Touchette and her husband, Phillip, of Wakefield and Lori S. McFadden and her husband, Brian, of West Newbury. She was the cherished grandmother of Andrew Touchette and his wife, Ellen, of VA; Bradley McFadden of Salisbury; Danielle McFadden and her partner, Mark Mallozzi, of PA and Gregory McFadden of West Newbury. She was the sister of the late Gustino, Olga, Levia, Peter, Bernard, Dominic, John, James and Josephine.

Her funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
