Member of the Crystal Community Club, enjoyed hunting

WAKEFIELD — Franklin M. Nardone, a lifelong Wakefield resident died on Wednesday, November 24 at the Brudnick Center for Living in Peabody.

Born in Wakefield on July 18, 1928, he was the son of the late Joseph A. and Josephine (Colantonuio) Nardone.

Mr. Nardone was a graduate of Wakefield High School, Class of 1946. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corp after high school and had served in the Korean War. Mr. Nardone met his wife at the Wakefield Boat House and were married for 50 years. He worked as a sales technician and machinist for Bostik and the United Shoe Machinery. He was a member of the Crystal Community Club and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and clamming all over Massachusetts.

Mr. Nardone was the husband of the late Catherine (Aglio) Nardone. He is survived by his two daughters: Rosemarie Boland of Alfred, Maine, and Susan Marini of Wakefield; his three grandchildren Kaitlin Boland, Franklin Boland and Christina Marini and his great grandson Jamison Boland. Mr. Nardone was predeceased by his three sisters Lucy Companeshi, Louise Stentiford, and Alvina Drebit, and his four brothers Samuel Nardone, John Nardone, Joseph Nardone, and James Nardone.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday, December 14 from 4-7 p.m. His funeral Mass will be held in St. Florence Church, 47 Butler Ave., Wakefield on Wednesday, December 15 at 10:30 a.m. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
