Her true happiness was spending time with her children and family

MIDDLETON — Joyce Elizabeth Hart, age 83 of Middleton, died on Friday, October 21 at the Masconomet Rehab Center in Topsfield.

She was born in Malden on April 17, 1939 and was the daughter of the late Ernest and Lucille (Cate) Conti.

Joyce grew up in Greenwood and Wakefield, Massachusetts. She was a graduate of Wakefield High School, class of 1957. Following high school, she graduated from the Chandler School for women and was employed as a secretary by the Winchester School District which included thirty plus years at the Lincoln Elementary School. A job she truly loved.

After retiring, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends at her house and on the boat in Chatham on Cape Cod.

She was married 57 years to her beloved husband Frannie Hart. Her true happiness was spending time with her children and their families. Her grandchildren were the lights of her life.

Joyce was an avid Boston sports fan with the Red Sox being #1 and she rarely missed watching a game on TV.

Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

She was the beloved wife of Francis Hart. She was the loving mother of Kimberlee Egan and her husband James of Rowley, and Scott Hart of Methuen. She was the grandmother of Adam Hart, Matthew Egan and Tyler Egan. She was the sister of Francie Collins and her husband John, and the late Carl Conti and his wife Christine.

Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday, October 28 from 9 -11 a.m. Her funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Friday following the visitation at 11 a.m. Interment, Forest Glen Cemetery, Reading.
