Retired manager of Reading Lumber and loved to travel

STONEHAM — Robert B. Uliano, 86, of Stoneham, formerly of Wakefield, died Thursday at the Sawtelle Hospice House in Reading.

Born in Niskayuna, New York, he was the son of the late Benjamin and Leola (Price) Uliano.

Robert was raised on a farm in New York. As a young adult he moved to Massachusetts and eventually settled in Wakefield. He was a retired manager for Reading Lumber in North Reading. After his retirement he spent his spare time woodworking and traveling with his late wife Barbara.

Robert was the beloved husband of the late Barbara (Govostes) Uliano. He was the father of Lori Ann Uliano of Wakefield. Brother of the late Dorothy Casterlin. Uncle of Nancy Labriola and husband, Michael, of Stoneham; Susan Hunter and husband, Brad and Diane Beland, all of N.H.

His funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Tuesday at 11 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday prior to the service from 10 to 11 a.m. Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery in Wakefield.
