Known for his quick wit and infectious laugh
EAST BOSTON — William Zarella, age 79, passed away in his East Boston home of 44 years on November 19.
He was the beloved son of the late Americo and Ruth (Powers) Zarella. He was dear brother of David Zarella and his wife Lillian of Melrose. Loving uncle of Marcie Zarella and her husband David Ruede and Daniel Zarella and his wife Renee, all of Melrose. Great Uncle of Joseph, Matthew, and Anthony.
Bill graduated from Melrose High School and earned his bachelor’s degree at North Adams State University. After graduation, Bill became a broker in the export/import business and remained in that industry until his retirement. He enjoyed traveling, especially to Puerto Rico, and loved to party with his family and friends. He was known for his quick wit, his infectious laugh, and his kind and compassionate spirit. He will be missed.
Funeral services will be private and are in the care of the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield.
