The Wakefield Recreation Department along with coaches and current student athletes at Wakefield High are hosting their annual Warrior Basketball Clinics again this summer.
There are two sessions this year. Session 1 runs from July 29 to Aug. 1 and Session 2 runs from Aug. 12 to Aug. 15.
Both sessions will take place at Wakefield High’s Charbonneau Field House from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. each day.
The clinic is open to girls’ and boys’ basketball players entering grades 2 through 9.
Aspiring players will have the unique opportunity to work on basketball fundamentals with the Wakefield High varsity basketball coaches and players. The clinic will emphasize fundamental skills and team play using drills from the high school’s varsity program.
Wakefield High boys’ head coach Colin Halpin and girls’ head coach Jason Pavey will run the camp along with assistant coaches Tom Leahy, Matt Barboza, Kayla Wyland and Mike Suntken.
