An animal lover who cherished his dogs

WAKEFIELD — John F. “Jackie” Lynch, a longtime resident of Wakefield, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at Melrose-Wakefield Hospital at age 69.

Jack was born in Boston on May 7, 1951, son of the late George J. and Mary Margaret (A’Hearn) Lynch.

Jack was an animal lover who cherished his dogs. He was very proud of his Irish heritage. Jack enjoyed his work in property maintenance for Most Blessed Sacrament Church, and for Antiques at Edgerly Farm. Jack will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

In addition to his mother and father, he is predeceased by his aunt and uncle, Anne “Auntie Molly” and Frank Bolotte, and his cousin, Frank Bolotte, Jr.

John is survived by his close cousins Barbie McDonnell, Ann-Marie Thomas, and Joe Bolotte. He is also survived by his lifelong friends, John Starr, Mary Starr and Pat Starr. He is also survived by his dear friends, the Yamartino family and Clare and Rick Zeimetz. He also leaves several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to Jack’s funeral mass at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield celebrated on Thursday, May 13 at 11 a.m. Interment in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, W.
