Korea veteran owned a pet supply store

WAKEFIELD — Salvatore Pustizzi, 84, a Wakefield resident since 1976, died on Sunday July 4, at the MelroseWakefield Hospital.

Born in Boston, June 11, 1937, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Augustine (Bova) Pustizzi.

Sal was raised in the West End of Boston. He was a graduate of Catholic High School. He served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Sal was the owner and operator of Nema Pet Supplies which his son operates today.

He was a devoted family man who enjoyed spending time with relatives and friends and enjoyed boating while at his summer home at Boothbay Harbor.

Sal was the beloved husband of the late Sandra (Benson) Pustizzi. He was the loving father of Peter Pustizzi of Venice, FL, Mark Pustizzi of Cudjoe, FL, Larry Olson of Peabody and the late Michael Olson. He was the brother of the late Carmela and Rosine Pustizzi. He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren; Nicole, Matthew, Gina, Maria, Joseph, Jessica and Juliana.

His funeral service will be held at the McDonald Funeral Home, 19 Yale Ave., Wakefield on Friday at 11 a.m. Visitation for relatives and friends will be held at the funeral home on Friday prior to the service from 9 to 11 a.m.

Interment, Forest Glade Cemetery, Wakefield.
