An avid Boston sports team fan who loved attending Patriots games

BILLERICA — Thomas Corrigan of Billerica, formerly of Melrose, passed away on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at age 54.
He was a graduate of Melrose High School, class of 1985 and went on to earn a degree in electrical engineering from Franklin Institute of Technology in Boston. He was most recently employed by Bruker Optics Inc. of Billerica.

Tom was an avid fan of Boston sports teams. He loved attending Patriots games with his family and friends. He also played hockey and loved the Boston Bruins. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening and he took much pride in taking care of his home. Some of his favorite places he traveled were Las Vegas, Germany and The Netherlands.

Tom was the loving son of Edward and Norma (Moorehead) Corrigan. Lifetime companion of Anne Dowling of North Andover. Caring brother of Kathleen Corrigan of Malden; Michael Corrigan and his wife, Debra, of NH; Mary Anne Thompson and her husband, Jeffrey; Maureen Keegan and her husband, John; and Edward Corrigan, all of Wakefield. Also survived by nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Visiting hours will be held at the Gately Funeral Home, 79 W. Foster St., Melrose on Sunday, July 18, 2021 from 1-4 p.m. A mass of Christian burial will be held at Most Blessed Sacrament Church, 1155 Main St., Wakefield on Monday, July 19, 2021 at 11 a.m. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private.
