BOSTON — The Wakefield High boys’ indoor track and field team wrapped up the regular season by going 5-0 and finishing 2nd overall in the Middlesex League Championship meet held at the Reggie Lewis Center on Tuesday.

It was the first time the Warriors have finished second overall in the league meet.

In the 55 meter hurdles, Eli Gosselin-Smoske had another big day as he ran another personal record time of 8.1 and was 2nd overall. Cory Sample ran a 9.72 and Josh Catino ran a pr time of 9.99.

In the 55 meters, MyKease Driggers ran a big personal record time of 6.79 and was 2nd overall. Wesley Pierre ran a 6.77, and Tucker Stikeman ran a 6.97.

In the 300 meters, Ryan Obear ran a great time of 38.84, Jaime Poole ran a 39.59 and Josh Catino ran a 45.05.

In the shot put, Liam Cosgrove was 6th with a throw of 42’8.5, Logan Cosgrove was 8th with a throw of 42’01. Nick Peterson threw 31’.

In the long jump, Tucker Stikeman jumped 17’8 and Gosselin-Smoske jumped 16’8.5.

In the high jump, Gosselin-Smoke tied for 2nd with a jump of 5’8.

Sophomore Bradley Diaz ran a personal best time of 1:25.08 to place 2nd holding off a strong charge from the 3rd place finisher. Zack Jellison ran 1:32 and Ian Schermerhorn ran a time of 1:33.

In the 1000 meters, Mike Roberto had to work his way up from the back of the field to score in 7th place and a finish with a personal best time of 2:46. Junior Jonathan D’Ambrosio also had big PR with a time of 2:47 just one spot out of scoring. Freshman Ben Stratton finished just behind them in a time of 2:49.

In the mile, Trevor Zupan ran the event for the first time this season and placed 6th with a personal best of 4:37. Sophomore Thomas Dowd ran a personal best of 4:52. Jimmy Crump finished in a time of 5:01.

Matt Roberto finished off his strong Middlesex indoor career with a 4th place finish running a smart and controlled race in a time of 10:00.01 in the two mile. Sophomore Ajay Haridasse had a fantastic race to win his section in a more than 30 second pr time of 10:44. Junior Guy Jacob also ran a personal best time of 10:46.

In the 4×200 meter relay, Wesley Pierre, Jaime Poole, Tucker Stikeman and Bradley Diaz ran the best time of the season, 1:34.75 and were 2nd overall.

In the 4×400 meter relay, Trevor Zupan, Andrew Roos, Colin Rudy and Jimmy Crump ran a time of 3:45.98 and were 8th overall.
