WAKEFIELD — William Frederic Hausrath, 84, of Wakefield, died from a fall on Feb. 13.
He was married to the late Agnes Hausrath and they had no children.
He was the only child of Frederic W. and Bertha Hausrath. He grew up in Michigan and Massachusetts.
Mr. Hausrath was a graduate of Clark University and Columbia University. He had a life-long career at General Electric.
He is survived by his nieces Mary-Lee DiZoglio and Angela DiZoglio and nephews Vincent DiZoglio of Plymouth, and LeRoy Fetzner Jr. of Manchester, N.H.; cousin Nanci-Elizabeth Eagle of Brooklyn, N.Y. and Heather Wise of British Columbia.
He was an avid reader, gardener and loved to do Sudoku puzzles. He also enjoyed vacationing in York Beach, Maine.
Bill was a great walker around town. He was a very distinguished gentleman dressed in a suit and tie.
He was an active member of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church of Wakefield.
His funeral will be held in the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 5 Bryant St., Wakefield on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. There are no calling hours.
