William-Kotzuba-obit-webMELROSE — William G. Kotzuba, 53, of Melrose, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 27.

William is survived by his wife Helen M. Kotzuba; daughter Amanda Kotzuba and her fiancé Andrew Rowe; sons Eric and Michael Coughlin, and grandson Nathan Rowe, all of Melrose. He was the son of the late Michael and Susan Kotzuba. He was the brother of Jean Hamilton and her husband Keith of Wakefield; James Kotzuba and his wife Nancy of Somerville; Paul Kotzuba and his wife Tina of Melrose, and the late Nancy Kotzuba of Medford. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

William was raised in Somerville and graduated from Somerville High School. He continued his education at Boston College and went on to open his own construction business, where he specialized in painting and remodeling. He enjoyed all sports, especially golf and basketball. William loved spending time with his grandson, his little rascal, playing ball outside in the yard and blowing bubbles.

Family and friends attended William’s funeral Mass on Saturday, Jan. 31 at Saint Joseph Church, 173 Albion St. in Wakefield. Burial will be private.
