WAKEFIELD — Wakefield Memorial High School will hold its annual Memorial Day Assembly from 9:30-10:40 a.m. on Friday, May 22 in the Charbonneau Field House.

Veterans from every branch of the U.S. military will be recognized for their bravery and courage in their service to our nation both at home and abroad. The ceremony will be led by Wakefield Memorial High School students, including the National Anthem by the Chamber Singers and “American Heroes; A Tribute to Our Armed Forces” by the Wind Ensemble.

The ceremony will conclude with a keynote address on the meaning of Memorial Day by Alicia Reddin, the veterans agent. Guests, town of Wakefield veterans and those being honored are invited to enter through the Charbonneau Field House entrance located in the parking lot off Hemlock Road behind the high school.
