MELROSE — The 10th Annual Melrose Tennis Open on Sept. 18 and 19 at the Crystal St. Courts and the Tremont St. Courts is a sure way to show off your tennis skills. All abilities and skill levels are welcome to compete. The Tennis Open will hold single elimination men’s, women’s and junior’s matches. Each participant will receive a free t-shirt as well as new balls for their matches.
Early registration ends Sept. 2 which guarantees your shirt size. The registration deadline is Sept. 9 and all registrations between Sept. 2 and Sept. 9 will receive an adult large tee shirt.
The Open will start at 8 a.m. on both days. The cost is $25 for singles players and $40 per doubles team.
There will be a two draw maximum per player and one flight per draw.
Divisions will include Men’s Singles (A and B Flights), Men’s Doubles (A and B Flights), Women’s Singles (A and B Flights), Women’s Doubles, Mixed Doubles and 18 and Under (Please specify age in the notes section while registering).
A Flight requires an NTRP score of 3.5 or higher. B Flight is an NTRP score of 3.5 or lower. To determine your NTRP skill level visit www.erra.us/ntpr-skill-level-guide.
