Foster mother, homemaker and devoted wife
BOURNE — Beverly A. (Rogers) Viveiros – 71, of Bourne, formerly of Florida and North Reading, died Friday, April 3, 2015 at the Tremont Rehabilitation in Bourne. She was the loving wife of 43 years to the late Joseph L. Viveiros, who died on April 8.
Born in Melrose, on September 17, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred C. and Frances (Meehan) Rogers. Beverly was raised and attended school in North Reading. She worked as a waitress for at the Jade Restaurant in Tewksbury for ten years and Peking Palace in Falmouth for ten years.
Beverly was a very friendly and outgoing person, she enjoyed the beach, shopping, dressing up, cooking, decorating and entertaining. She was a former foster mother and she loved children. She was a homemaker and a dedicated wife to her husband Joe. They loved spending time together, shopping, cooking, boating and traveling.
Family members include her brothers, William Rogers of Sandwich, Paul Rogers of NC and Mark Rogers of Boxford; sisters, Kathleen MacMaster of Melrose and Sheila Pepper of Methuen; sister–in–law and dear friend of Patricia Rogers of Nashua, NH and dear friends of John Routhier and Elizabeth Eddy of Bourne. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Her funeral Mass will be held together with that of her husband Joseph, at St. Theresa’s Church, 63 Winter Street (Rt. 62), North Reading on Thursday, April 16 at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be held in the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne at 2:30 p.m. Calling hours were held at the Croswell Funeral Home, 19 Bow Street, North Reading on Wednesday, April 15.
