Enjoyed life to its fullest
MELROSE — Mary M. Kelley (formerly Roberts) passed away peacefully in her home on June 24. She lost her courageous battle to cancer surrounded by her loving children. She was born in Stoneham on May 17, 1944.
Mary was generous and loving. Family was the most important thing to her. She was born to the late Thomas Roberts and Margaret (Carroll) Roberts. Mary was predeceased by her siblings: Thomas Roberts Jr.; Gerald Roberts; Claire Roberts; Charles Roberts; Karen Roberts; Margaret Gover and her son, Charles Wilk.
Mary leaves behind her children: Michael Wilk and wife Bea of Saugus; Karen MacClellan and her husband Chris of Saugus; Sean Ward and his wife Julie of Middleton; and Leah Dow and boyfriend Kevin of North Reading. Mary adored her 12 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Mary was carefree and enjoyed life to its fullest. Her door was always open to visits from her very large family and many friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mary’s Church, 9 Herbert St., Melrose on Friday, June 30 at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. To leave an online message of condolence, please visit gatelyfh.com.
